Over the last week or so, it has occurred to me that Auckland is very beautiful. It’s something I don’t think about very often, perhaps because it’s easy to take somewhere for granted when you see it every day. To help myself notice it a bit more, I’ve decided to start recording some of that beauty.
Last month, I bought a Sony Nex5n, using the logic that a mirrorless camera is better than my SLR because taking photos is better than not taking photos. As I can now fit my camera into my handbag, that logic has proved fairly accurate so far.
So I’ve managed to take some photos while wandering through the Auckland region over the last week or two. Some are of dubious quality as they were taken on the auto sports mode from a car moving quite quickly – my logic was that getting any photo is better than no photo. Anyway, here are a few from the Eastern beaches in Auckland.
